It was Sloane who yanked Emily out of her shell and made life 100% interesting. But right before what should have been the most epic summer, Sloane just…disappears. All she leaves behind is a to-do list.

On it, thirteen Sloane-inspired tasks that Emily would normally never try. But what if they could bring her best friend back?

Apple picking at night? Okay, easy enough.

Dance until dawn? Sure. Why not?

Kiss a stranger? Um…

Emily now has this unexpected summer, and the help of Frank Porter (totally unexpected), to check things off Sloane’s list. Who knows what she’ll find?

Go skinny-dipping? Wait…what?

Since I’ve heard so many great things about this book, I read it right away when I had my sembreak. It was fun summer read and I liked it but not as much as I did with THE UNEXPECTED EVERYTHING (it’s still my fave Morgan Matson book)

Characters. Emily is our lead female character, she’s shy &  timid just like me. Sloane her bestfriend the opposite of Emily. So she left without saying goodbye, but she left a list for Emily to do. Which I find so crazy & hilarious. The  we have Frank our lead male character, he’s a student council president & ur everything perfect guy. Then side characters Collins & Dawn. I liked them all but I really like Emily’s character. I can see myself on her and how I wish someone would make a crazy list for me to do so that I can finally get out out of my shell.

Writing Style, so amazing just like from THE UNEXPECTED EVERYTHING. I just love Morgan Matson’s writing style so light & heartwarming.

The Plot, It’s good & fun but for me it was slow pace, the ending was bit predictable.  The romance was also slow pace but atleast it’s not an insta love.

All in All, I did like this book but not my fave. I expected that it would be greater than THE UNEXPECTED EVERYTHING but it’s not.It was a fun summer read and I love the ending even tho it’s predictable.

So my rating is  :

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.5 / 5 stars

Thanks for reading
