Hello Everyone! It’s been a long time since I posted a review. Anyways this is my 1st hard copy novella.
Queen Coriane, first wife of King Tiberias, keeps a secret diary—how else can she ensure that no one at the palace will use her thoughts against her? Coriane recounts her heady courtship with the crown prince, the birth of a new prince, Cal, and the potentially deadly challenges that lay ahead for her in royal life.
Diana Farley was raised to be strong, but being tasked with planting the seeds of rebellion in Norta is a tougher job than expected. As she travels the land recruiting black market traders, smugglers, and extremists for her first attempt at an attack on the capital, she stumbles upon a connection that may prove to be the key to the entire operation—Mare Barrow.
I can’t deny that Queen Song is the very good one. But I like the Steel Scars, It’s about Farley men! My baddass chick!
So about the Queen Song, at first it’s a bit confusing but then at the middle part of the story it became interesting and a fun read for me. But then at the end, I’m still confused like “How did Queen Coraine Died?” I know Elara is the culprit but I can’t picture out how did Coraine died. For me its just like a flash and boom! She’s dead. But anyways I love the romance going on with the King Tibe& Coraine. It also made me hate Elara more and excited for the Glass Sword at the same time.
So let’s go to the Steel Scars. So Farley is here kicking asses. Ok I’m still confused when I jumped in to this story but then It became clear when I read more. At first I was just about to DNF it,but because I want my money to be worth it with this Novella. It turned out to be good and it didn’t disappoint me tho. I ship Farley & Shade. YEAH! New OTP.
I also feel bad for Farley for losing her Family ( even tho she still had her Father – the Colonel) and I’m so glad that she met Shade. But sometimes I don’t know what’s going on with her plans for the Guard. But still like her story tho.
QUEEN SONG ⭐⭐⭐⭐/ 4.2
STEEL SCARS 🌟🌟🌟🌟/ 4.1
FAVE QOUTE :
“There is nothing so terrible as a story untold”
“A strange prince, an even stranger night, she wrote later. I don’t know if I ever want to see him again. But he seemed lonely too. Should we not be lonely together?”
“We all have scars and ghosts of our own. Some drove us to the Scarlet Guard, and some were because of it. I know the sting of both.”
